1 And YHWH remembered Sarah as He had said, and the YHWH did unto Sarah as He had spoken.
1 And the Lord visited Sarrha, as he said, and the Lord did to Sarrha, as he spoke.
1 Then the Lord visited Sarah, just as he had promised; and he fulfilled what he had spoken.
2 And Sarah conceived, and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
2 And she conceived and gave birth to a son in her old age, at the time that God had foretold to her.
3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.
4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.
4 And Abraam circumcised Isaac on the eighth day, as God commanded him.
4 And he circumcised him on the eighth day, just as God had instructed him,
5 And Abraham was a hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.
5 when he was one hundred years old. Indeed, at this stage of his father’s life, Isaac was born.
6 And Sarah said: 'God hath made laughter for me; every one that heareth will laugh on account of me.'
6 And Sarrha said, The Lord has made laughter for me, for whoever shall hear shall rejoice with me.
6 And Sarah said, God has made me to rejoice today exceedingly; everyone that hears the news will rejoice with me.
7 And she said: 'Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should give children suck? for I have borne him a son in his old age.'
7 And she said, Who shall say to Abraam that Sarrha suckles a child? for I have born a child in my old age.
7 And again, she said: “Hearing this, who would believe Abraham, that Sarah breast-fed a son, to whom she gave birth, despite being elderly?”
