1  We then who are strong are obligated to bear with the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

1  But we who are stronger must bear with the feebleness of the weak, and not so as to please ourselves.

2  Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.

2  Each one of you should please his neighbor unto good, for edification.

2  Let every one of us please his neighbor in good and constructive ways.

3  For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, "The reproaches of those reproaching You fell on Me."

4  For as many things as were previously written, were written for our own instruction, that through the patience and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we may have hope.

5  Now may the God of patience and of encouragement grant you to be like-minded among one another, according to Christ Jesus,

9  and that the Gentiles might glorify God on behalf of His mercy, as it is written: "For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, and I will sing praise to Your name."

10  And again he says: "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!"

11  And again: "Praise YHWH, all you Gentiles! Praise Him, all you peoples!"

11  And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; And let all the peoples praise him.

12  And again, Isaiah says: "There shall be the root of Jesse; and He that shall rise to rule over the Gentiles, in Him the Gentiles shall hope."

12  And again Isaiah said, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise will be a prince to the Gentiles; and in him shall the Gentiles trust.

13  Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

13  So may the God of hope fill you with every joy and with peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope and in the virtue of the Holy Spirit.

14  Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, having been filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish others.

14  But I am also certain about you, my brothers, that you also have been filled with love, completed with all knowledge, so that you are able to admonish one another.

16  that I should be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God as a priest, so that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

16  so that I may be a minister of Christ Jesus among the Gentiles, sanctifying the Gospel of God, in order that the oblation of the Gentiles may be made acceptable and may be sanctified in the Holy Spirit.

17  Therefore I have something to boast of in Christ Jesus in the things pertaining to God.

17  I am proud therefore to glory in Jesus Christ before God.

18  For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ did not work out through me, in word and deed, for the obedience of [the] Gentiles-

18  So I dare not speak of any of those things which Christ does not effect through me, unto the obedience of the Gentiles, in word and deed,

18  For I can scarcely speak of anything which Christ has not wrought by me for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,

19  in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

20  And so eagerly striving to evangelize not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon the foundation of another,

20  yea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was [already] named, that I might not build upon another man`s foundation;

22  For this reason I also have been hindered many times from coming to you.

22  Because of this also, I was greatly hindered in coming to you, and I have been prevented until the present time.

23  But now no longer having a place in these regions, and having a longing to come to you for many years,

23  Yet truly now, having no other destination in these regions, and having already had a great desire to come to you over the past many years,

24  whenever I travel to Spain, I shall come to you. For I hope [while] traveling through to see you, and to be sent forward there by you, if I may be filled in part [from] you first.

24  whensoever I go unto Spain (for I hope to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first in some measure I shall have been satisfied with your company)--

24  When I leave for Spain, I hope to come to see you: and I hope that you will escort me thence after I have more or less fully enjoyed my visit.

25  But now I am traveling to Jerusalem ministering to the saints.

25  But next I will set out for Jerusalem, to minister to the saints.

26  For Macedonia and Achaia thought it good to make some contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.

26  For the brethren in Mac-e-doÆni-a and A-chaÆia have been pleased to take part in helping the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

27  For they thought it good, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles shared in spiritual things, they are obligated also to minister to them in material things.

27  Yea, it hath been their good pleasure; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it [to them] also to minister unto them in carnal things.

28  Therefore, having finished and having sealed to them this fruit, I shall go by way of you to Spain.

28  When, therefore, I have accomplished this and have finished distributing to them this kind of help, I will cross over toward you on my way to Spain.

28  When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.

29  But I know that coming to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

29  And I know that when I come to you I shall arrive with an abundance of the blessings of the Gospel of Christ.

30  Now I beg you, brothers, through YHWH Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in prayers to God on my behalf,

30  Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

30  Therefore, I beg you, brothers, through our Lord Jesus Christ and though the love of the Holy Spirit, that you assist me with your prayers to God on my behalf,

31  that I may be delivered from those in Judea who do not believe, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

31  so that I may be freed from the unfaithful who are in Judea, and so that the oblation of my service may be acceptable to the saints in Jerusalem.

32  so that in joy I may come to you through the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.

32  that I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest.

25  But now is made manifest by the scriptures of the prophets; and by the command of the eternal God, and is made known to all the peoples for the obedience of faith

16:26  (15:25) but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the eternal God, for obedience to the faith-

26  (which now has been made clear through the Scriptures of the Prophets, in accord with the precept of the eternal God, unto the obedience of faith) which has been made known among all the Gentiles

26  For God is the only wise one, and to him be glory through Jesus Christ for ever and ever: Amen.
