1 And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, and a twig shall grow forth out of his roots.
1 And a rod will go forth from the root of Jesse, and a flower will ascend from his root.
2 And the spirit of YHWH shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the YHWH.
2 And he shall be at peace, and the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the reverence of the LORD;
3 And his delight shall be in the fear of YHWH; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears;
3 the spirit of the fear of God. He shall not judge according to appearance, nor reprove according to report
3 And he will be filled with the spirit of the fear of the Lord. He will not judge according to the sight of the eyes, nor reprove according to the hearing of the ears.
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the land; and he shall smite the land with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
4 but he shall judge the cause of the lowly, and shall reprove the lowly of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the word of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he destroy the ungodly one.
4 Instead, he will judge the poor with justice, and he will reprove the meek of the earth with fairness. And he will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and he will slay the impious with the spirit of his lips.
5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
5 And he shall have his loins girt with righteousness, and his sides clothed with truth.
5 And justice will be the belt around his waist. And faith will be the warrior’s belt at his side.
6 And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
6 The wolf will dwell with the lamb; and the leopard will lie down with the kid; the calf and the lion and the sheep will abide together; and a little boy will drive them.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
7 The calf and the bear will feed together; their young ones will rest together. And the lion will eat straw like the ox.
8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the basilisk's den.
8 And an infant shall put his hand on the holes of asps, and on the nest of young asps.
8 And a breastfeeding infant will play above the lair of the asp. And a child who has been weaned will thrust his hand into the den of the king snake.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of YHWH, as the waters cover the sea.
9 And they shall not hurt, nor shall they at all be able to destroy any one on my holy mountain: for the whole world is filled with the knowledge of the Lord, as much water covers the seas.
9 They will not harm, and they will not kill, on all my holy mountain. For the earth has been filled with the knowledge of the Lord, like the waters covering the sea.
10 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the root of Jesse, that standeth for an ensign of the peoples, unto him shall the nations seek; and his resting-place shall be glorious.
10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall arise to rule over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust, and his rest shall be glorious.
10 In that day, the root of Jesse, who stands as a sign among the people, the same the Gentiles shall beseech, and his sepulcher will be glorious.
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that YHWH will set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people, that shall remain from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
11 And it shall be in that day, that the Lord shall again shew his hand, to be zealous for the remnant that is left of the people, which shall be left by the Assyrians, and that from Egypt, and from the country of Babylon, and from Ethiopia, and from the Elamites, and from the rising of the sun, and out of Arabia.
11 And this shall be in that day: the Lord will send forth his hand a second time to take possession of the remnant of his people who will be left behind: from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Ethiopia, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
12 And He will set up an ensign for the nations, and will assemble the dispersed of Israel, and gather together the scattered of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
12 And he shall lift up a standard for the nations, and he shall gather the lost ones of Israel, and he shall gather the dispersed of Juda from the four corners of the earth.
13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and they that harass Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.
13 And the envy of Ephraim shall be taken away, and the enemies of Juda shall perish: Ephraim shall not envy Juda, and Juda shall not afflict Ephraim.
14 And they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines on the west; together shall they spoil the children of the east; they shall put forth their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.
15 And YHWH will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with His scorching wind will He shake His hand over the River, and will smite it into seven streams, and cause men to march over dry-shod.
15 And the Lord shall make desolate the sea of Egypt; and he shall lay his hand on the river with a strong wind, and he shall smite the seven channels, so that men shall pass through it dry-shod.
15 And the Lord will desolate the tongue of the sea of Egypt. And he will lift up his hand over the river, with the strength of his Spirit; and he will strike it, in its seven streams, so that they may cross through it in their shoes.
16 And there shall be a highway for the remnant of His people, that shall remain from Assyria, like as there was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
12:1 And in that day thou shalt say: 'I will give thanks unto Thee, O YHWH; for though Thou was angry with me, Thine anger is turned away, and Thou comfortest me.
1 And you will say in that day: “I will confess to you, O Lord, because you have been angry with me; but your fury has been turned away, and you have consoled me.
1 AND you shall say in that day, O LORD, I will praise thee; though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou hast comforted me.
12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for GOD YHWH is my strength and song; and He is become my salvation.'
2 Behold, my God is my Saviour; I will trust in him, and not be afraid: for the Lord is my glory and my praise, and is become my salvation.
12:3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
3 You will draw water with gladness from the fountains of the Savior.
12:4 And in that day shall ye say: 'Give thanks unto YHWH, proclaim His name, declare His doings among the peoples, make mention that His name is exalted.
4 And you will say in that day: “Confess the Lord, and invoke his name! Make his plans known among the peoples! Remember that his name is exalted!
12:5 Sing unto YHWH; for He hath done gloriously; this is made known in all the earth.
5 Sing praise to the name of the Lord; for he has done great things: declare this in all the earth.
5 Sing to the Lord, for he has acted magnificently! Announce it to the whole world!
12:6 Cry aloud and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.'
6 Exalt and rejoice, ye that dwell in Sion: for the Holy One of Israel is exalted in the midst of her.
6 Exult and give praise, O habitation of Zion! For the Great One, the Holy One of Israel, is in your midst!”
12:3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Description : Two persons quench their thirst from a fountain with six high spouting streams of water. A third person rests under a tree. The attendant scriptures are Prv 14:27 and Is 12:3.
Motto: Fountain of all things, / May everyone go to thee!
Poem: The drops are worth more, / Than the fountain that bore them, / In the esteem of the human race, / That values these and those trifles, / Of the earthly things that streamed out, / More than their origin. / But he, who hopes to find better, / And knows to restrain his desire, / Prefers to pass thirsty, / A gutter, mixed with the dirt of the earth, / So that he would save his quenching, / Until the pure fountain would be there; / The rich source of all streams, / Where everyone who is thirsty may come, / And freely drink the holy liquid; / That living Water-vein, / That springs up eternally, from the Father, / And is very lovingly called Jesus. / So we are willing to pass the time, / And are consoled to suffer some thirst, / Even though the temporal Sun stings, / We shall speedily run to the end, / Then shall the thirst be eternally quenched, / From God, that pure / Fountain of Life.
